Martha Kennedy (she/her)
Business Owner and Principal Occupational Therapist at Neuronest Occuaptional Therapy
Hi, I’m Martha, an AUDHD occupational therapist supporting neurodivergent adults across Australia through affirming telehealth sessions. I centre safety, autonomy and relational trust in my work. I’m passionate about supporting people navigating intersectional neurodivergent experiences and enjoy working creatively and collaboratively. My therapeutic style is warm, gentle and affirming, and I welcome all the stimming, authenticity and pet cameos into sessions!
NEURONEST OT APPROACH
At NeuroNest Occupational Therapy, I offer support that rejects pathologising models of health and instead centres on affirming your neurodivergent neurology. I practise with deep respect for your autonomy, lived experience and unique ways of being in the world. I aim to support the unburdening of ableist expectations and help rebuild trust in your own rhythms, needs and self-defined meanings of wellness and participation.
Sessions are flexible, collaborative and shaped by what matters to you. I strive to offer a safe landing pad where all bodies and brains are welcome just as they are. The therapy space focuses on nervous system regulation and relational safety, over outward pressure for neuronormative growth or ableist ideals of functioning.
OT SERVICES
Services at NeuroNest Occupational Therapy support you to explore how your environment, routines and daily tasks relate to your wellbeing. It offers space to notice what supports you, what gets in the way, and what might be adjusted to better fit your life.
There is no single right way to function, feel or live, especially in a world shaped by able bodied and able minded ideals. Therapy makes space to explore what matters to you and how you want to move through your day. Activities that feel meaningful or grounding are not just outcomes, but can be part of the therapeutic process.
Supports can include one to one therapy, help with navigating the NDIS and Functional Capacity Assessments, and short term blocks of therapy focused on specific goals or life domains. What we work on is shaped by your needs and priorities.
